EXPANSION JOINTSECONFLEX MODEL 70 e MOD.7210 ADVANTAGEOUS FEATURES FOR USING OUR FLEXIBLE RUBBER JOINTS: 1) Absorption of vibrations, noises and shocks 2) Easy to install, easy to remove. 3) Security assured in usage: the special spherical shape of its body in rubber allows the absorption of expansions. 4) Higher burst strenght: spherical shape is stronger than cylindrical shape or other configuration. Thus , under pressure, this joint is 4 times as strong as a cylindrical joint. Additionally, our products are made of best suitable material, and hence their burst pressure is much higher than those of other makes. 5) Suitable for suction and discharge: owing to its excellent molding technique with its tough chemical fiber, this joint can satisfactorily withstand the suction and discharge. Vacuum rating can stand up to 750 mmHg. 6) High efficiency: these joints streamlined, flowing arch to reduce turbulence, sediment build-up, thrust area and the effects of thrust on the piping system equipment. 7) Low deformation : internal pressure is exerted in all directions distributing forces evenly over a large area. They don’t need any maintenance, they match a great elasticity with a high resistance to the pressure . The standard joints are made with bellows in stainless steel (A182F304 –316 –321) and fittings or end flanges in carbon steel. The bellows are multi-walled seamless circumferential. Max pressure: 10 bars ( with vibrations) 16 bars (constant) Temperature: -50°C + 450°C SILENCER JOINTS FIG.80The silencer joint “FLEX” reduces vibrations and can be combined with a flange UNI PN 6 and UNI PN 10. The body in rubber EPDM is suitable till 100°c and a pressure of 10 bars. Dimensions: from DN 20 to DN 200. PRINCIPAL ADVANTAGES: - Easy to install - Contact faces vulcanized, that therefore don’t require any seals for the coupling. FEATURES The flanges are internally vulcanized in the rubber body of high elasticity, that allows also the electrical insulation. These silencer joints are normally used for water , weak acids and other salts at a temperature of + 20 +120°C. We suggest to use hexagonal bolts in the specified length and to include also washers to make sure the coupling and the operation ( too long bolts will damage the body in rubber).It is necessary to compress the flanges right to the body by bolts. The joints should be controlled each year and they should be carefully checked or substituted every 4/5 years. It is also useful to apply an insulating solution.
